Carrot Halwa



Ingredients

Grated Carrot - 4 cups
Sugar - 3 cups (as per taste)
Butter - 3 tbsp
Cashews, Almonds - few

Preparation time: 60 mins

Method

  • In a nonstick pan, add 2 tbsp of butter, heat it.
  • Add grated carrot, allow it to boil until the quantity becomes half (approximately 25-30 mins).
  • In another vessel, in a tbsp of butter, fry almonds and cashews, keep aside.
  • Now add sugar to the boiling carrot, fried almonds and cashews, mix the contents.
  • Boil the contents (10-15min) to make sure that the halwa is completely cooked.
  • Delicious Carrot Halwa is ready..garnish it with fried nuts!




Oats soup


Ingredients

Oats-1/2 cup
Water -1 and 1/2 cup
Carrots and peas - 1/4 cup
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Vinegar - 1 tsp
White pepper, Chilli sauce, salt - as per taste
Oil- 1 tsp
Onions - few, diced

Preparation time: 15 mins

Method

  • Heat oil in a bowl, add onions, fry till they turn golden color.
  • Fry carrots and peas. Add oats, cumin powder, white pepper and saute all the contents for 2 mins.
  • Add water, salt and allow the contents to boil until oats get cooked to desired consistency.
  • Oats soup is ready and can be served with vinegar and chilli sauce if needed.
